Parrot
Rescues
This was an Orange Winged Amazon that had a beak abnormality that was neglected.
Below is a list of Parrot Rescues in the
state of Utah and some surrounding states. We are in NO WAY associated
with any of rescue's listed.
So we ask that
before placing your bird in a new home either with a new family or any
rescue. Do your research and make sure that the person or rescue has the
knowledge, experience, the financial means and time to properly care
for your bird.
Warning: In the last few years there have been a number of people
saying they are a rescue to get free animals! Some of these people
are animal Hoarders and others are keeping the birds they want and then
selling the ones they don't. There have also been some breeders getting
birds this way as well. So please be picky and if something doesn't seem
right, trust yourself !!! Always ask questions.
Things to look for:
1.) The person running the rescue is a
breeder.
2.) The person runs
a pet store or is a bird wholesaler.
3.) Doesn't have a turn over paperwork or an
adoption contract.
4.) Doesn't ask
about the birds history and just wants to pick up the bird.
5.) Will not allow you to deliver the bird
to the rescue.
