Talking ability: Poor to Good depending on the species. Most of the popular pet Macaws are good talkers and are easily taught to talk but just because they have the ability to talk doesn't mean that they will. Blue and Gold macaws average a 25 word vocabulary but there is the rare individual that will have a larger vocabulary.
Common Behavioral Problems: Biting, screaming, plucking, being territorial of 1 person and or cage aggression and lack of socialization.

16 and 17.) Red Shouldered macaw is said to be a representative of two distinct subspecies the Noble Macaw and the Hahn's Macaw. But some are also saying that the Red Shouldered and the Hahn's Macaw are in fact the same species and that the Noble Macaw is a subspecies which has a horn colored upper beak and a black lower beak. Some are also saying that there is another subspecies called Neumann's Long-winged Macaw.
This macaw is about 13 to 14 inches in length and looks like identical to the Hahn's. The Hahn's/ Red shouldered macaw is 12 inches in length. The Noble macaw is 14 inches in length.
